Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Dribble Football Live (the "App", "Service", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our iOS application and the website at dribblefootball.xyz.

We have written this in plain English where possible. If anything is unclear, please contact us and we will clarify.

1. Who We Are

Dribble Football Live is an independent iOS application that provides live football scores, statistics, league tables, player data, transfers, and related content. We are the "controller" of the personal data described below.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information we collect automatically when you use the App

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, device language, approximate app version.
  • Advertising identifier (IDFA): only if you grant permission via the Apple App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, we do not track you for advertising purposes.
  • Push notification token: generated by Apple and stored by our push provider (OneSignal) so we can send you match alerts if you opt in.
  • Crash and diagnostic data: limited error logs that help us fix bugs.
  • IP address: used at request time for coarse-grained region detection and to detect abuse; not permanently stored alongside other identifiers.

2.2 Information you provide

  • In-app preferences (favourite teams and leagues, dark/light mode, notification choices) — stored on your device.
  • Messages you send us via the contact form or email, including your name, email address, and message body.
  • If you purchase a Premium subscription, Apple processes the payment — we receive a transaction receipt, not your credit card information.

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Football match data (scores, fixtures, players, standings, transfers) from API-Football. That is sports data, not personal data about you.
  • Apple StoreKit provides us the minimum receipt data needed to validate your subscription.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To show you live scores, stats, fixtures, and the other content you came for.
  • To send you push notifications you opted into.
  • To deliver advertising through Google AdMob in the free experience, and to remove ads for Premium subscribers.
  • To fix bugs and improve the App.
  • To respond to your support messages.
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

We keep this list short on purpose.

  • Google AdMob — displays banner, interstitial, app-open, and native ads in the free experience. Google may collect advertising identifiers, device data, and ad-interaction data in accordance with its own privacy policy. See Google's privacy policy. Premium subscribers do not see ads and this data flow stops.
  • OneSignal — delivers push notifications. OneSignal processes push tokens and basic device data. See OneSignal's privacy policy.
  • Apple App Store / StoreKit — handles payment for Premium subscriptions. Apple's privacy terms apply to payment processing.
  • API-Football — provides match, team, player, and league data to the App. Only the requests themselves travel through API-Football; no personal identifiers are attached.
  • DigitalOcean — hosts our backend servers.

5. Advertising and Tracking Choices

In the free experience the App shows ads served by Google AdMob. On first launch, iOS displays the App Tracking Transparency prompt asking whether you allow tracking across apps and websites. You can:

  • Decline the prompt — ads will still show, but without your advertising identifier, so they will be less personalised.
  • Change your mind anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Purchase Premium — all ads are removed and the AdMob data flow stops entirely.

6. Image Proxy

To make team crests and player photos load reliably, the App routes image requests through our own server (dribblefootball.xyz/api/v1/img/*) which then fetches them from the sports CDN. This means our server briefly sees which images your App requests. We do not log image requests alongside your IP address or device identifiers.

7. Data Storage and Retention

We retain the data we collect only as long as we need it:

  • Push tokens: until you disable notifications or uninstall the App.
  • Support messages: up to two years from the last reply.
  • Subscription receipts: for as long as the subscription is active, plus the period required by Apple and by tax law (typically 7 years).
  • Crash logs: up to 90 days.

8. Security

All App traffic uses HTTPS. Access to our servers is limited to authorized administrators. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow standard industry practice.

9. Children's Privacy

Dribble Football Live is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU GDPR or the California CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Port your data.
  • Withdraw your consent (for push, tracking, or the contact form at any time).
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, submit a request via our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.

11. International Data Transfers

Our backend is hosted in the EU. Some of our third-party providers (Google, Apple, OneSignal) may process data in the United States or other countries. Those providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.

13. Contact
